brothers Albert & Walter as plumbers & gasfitters at
Birkenhead, England - Dissolved partnership
and Frederick emigrated to New South Wales

was sentenced
to 6 weeks Imprisonment for robbery. from the firm

As Frederick Baily Deeming employed by Danks & Son
Bourke Street, discharged as he did not agree with
his fellow workmen. After he left he entered into a
12 months agreement with Williams Brothers Ironmongers
Rockhampton Queensland by means of forged testimonials
was in Rockhampton undername of Mollett about 8(?) years ago
stated to have worked as miner at Charters Towers
Then about 28-married with one child.

filed his schedule-Published bogus advertisement
refering[sic] to an inheritance & was sentenced to 14 days impt.
for prevaricating in the Insolvent Court respecting it.
Left Sydney to avoid arrest for fraudulent insolvency
leaving his wife [insertion: & children] behind [insertion: ,]
but they were supposed to
have followed him to South Africa.
10 years ago
-Was convicted [crossed out: out on bail] for robbery. Wife a stout
person had 3 children -

[Annotation: must have been in 1888]
-Mrs. Deeming arrived in Birkenhead and a few
weeks after was joined by Deeming who had
apparently plenty of money & jewellery & took a
house in Bridge Street Birkenhead.

Deeming was at Cape Town South Africa. Obtained
£2000 by forgery for bogus mining property in the
Transvaal. [crossed out: Warrant issued for him.]

Recognised by Captain of Jumna as a passenger who
travelled in that vessel from Aden to London under
name of Levy on previous trip-Had a wife
& family living at Birkenhead.

jewellery by valueless cheques - escaped to Monte
Video where he was arrested and brought
back to England - [crossed out:Committed for trial See below] sentenced
to 9 months imprisonment
On return from South Africa went to Hull
and resided at Beverley passing himself off as
a retired Australian sheep farmer - married
