Deeming alias Swanston
I beg to inform you that in
1884 I took a photo of him
(bust) also a group of him and
his wife, the wife by herself
¾ length and bust, the lady
so far I can make out is
non [sic] of them describe [sic] in the
newspapers. My studio in
Rockhampton were [sic] in [crossed out] I then were
in busness [sic], got destroyed by fire
about 2 years ago and the Nega
tives were lost, but I still have
the D [crossed out] photo of Deeming and shall
forward a photo by next Fri-
days mail. Why I know him so
well is this, he arrived here to manage or rather start a plum-
bing busness[sic] for "Williams Bros"
Ironmongers. he did so and I
were then building a residence on
the Athelstone Rouge and he
done all the plumbing there also
the some some [sic] work for me
in the Studio. When in Rock-
Hampton he were welknown [sic]
especial amongst busnes [sic] people.
and where often in my studio.
any other information I can
give you are welcome to if

I shall also send a photo of
Griffin the one how [sic] murdered
the Constables in charge of the
Gold escort, having done work
for many years for the Police
Department in Rockhampton
I am welknown [sic], should you
require any other information
I beg to refer to Mr. Lindt
photographer Collins street
Melbourne. Kindly acknowledge
receipt of letter and photos
when you get same.

ming taken in 1884 as markt [sic] on
the back. the other one is
Griffin how [sic] murdered the two
policeman in charge of the
Gold escort. that migt [sic] be of
interest amongst the Police

I should be oblidge [sic] if you would
acknowledge receipt also if you
would let me if he correspond
with the Winnor murdered [sic]
