2008 Awards Ceremony
The 10 th anniversary of the Sir Rupert Hamer Records Management Awards was held in Queen's Hall - Parliament House, on Thursday 28 May 2009 . 130 guests from across Victorian Government, the records management sector and archival communities attended the ceremony. Guests included Lady April Hamer, Judy Maddigan MP and Adam Fennessy, Executive Director – Department of Premier and Cabinet, who was the Keynote Speaker for the evening.
A total of five Awards and four Certificates of Commendation were presented in the Government Agency and Community Archives Categories. Award winners are as follows:

Government Agency Category winners received a commemorative crystal trophy and one year's corporate membership to the RMAA. Community Archives Category winners received a commemorative crystal trophy, $200 worth of archival material from Archival Survival, A copy of Keeping Archives and $150 worth of archival material from the ASA. Runners up received a framed certificate of commendation and a bottle of wine.
