Phrenology

Phrenology claims to be able to determine a person’s character and personality by looking at the person’s head shape and the bumps on their head. Death masks of prisoners and photographs of people’s heads were used in this study during the nineteenth century.

The internet contains a number of websites about phrenology. Many of these are quite technical. Some useful ones might include:
-- http://pages.britishlibrary.net/phrenology/overview.asp -- (More advanced text)
-- www.phrenology.org -- (A pro-phrenology webpage)
-- http://skepdic.com/phren.aspl -- (Read what the Skeptic’s Dictionary has to say)
