Sir
I have the honor to enclose for the
information of His Ex the Governor a letter I have
received from Mr De Villiers resigning the charge of
the Black natives I had placed under his care
it was evident he had not been to [crossed out: careful] attentive
lately as he ought and I therefore told him
what I thought which has caused his resignation.
I shall endeavour to attach the blacks who were
under him to the Aboriginal Protectors as I
have no doubt if I can succeed in doing so they
will be of much use to them in the commencement
of their proceedings.
I have the honor to be
