Melbourne Sept 17, 1841

Sir:
I have the honor in returning
the enclosed papers submitted for
my perusal, to express my perfect
concurrence in the sentiments therein
contained, and the satisfaction I
felt in their perusal.- I know of
no instance in the whole course of
my experience when Physical force
when applied to the Natives, has proved
efficacious; with the Australasian
Aborigines, Physical force is not
required, and I feel persuaded
that
