Octr. 14th, 1844

Sir
I have the honor to report
my return to this Station after ac-
complishing a second time a tour
of the District.

From my own observations,
and information I have received this
part of the Province is perfectly free
from anything like outrages by the
Natives, they have shewn little disposition
this season to be troublesome or offensive
and as the fine weather seems to have
set in, and as there is now plenty of
food for them in all parts of the bush
I do not anticipate any further trouble
from them- I think the objects for
