Sir
I have the honor to forward for
Your Honors information my report on
the conduct of the Native Police for the
quarter ending 31 December 1844- I have
great satisfaction in reporting to Your Honor
that the men comprising the party continue
to behave with scarcely any exception
in a steady and orderly manner and
a gradual improvement is visible in
discipline appearance and utility
I have received monthly reports from the
Sergeant in charge of the party still in Gipps Land
which are most satisfactory and also from
Mr.
His Honor
C. J. La-Trobe Esqr

Mr. Powlett’s Border Police gave satisfaction
to that officer.
