Sir,
I am directed by the Committee
of the Gipps Land Expedition for
the recovery of the European Woman
respectfully to request that your
Honor would be pleased to favor
a Deputation from them with an
audience tomorrow at noon, or at
such other time as Your Honor
may be pleased to appoint, on
urgent matters connected with
the Expedition.

Sir,
I am directed by the Committee
of the “Gipps Land Expedition” for
the recovery of the white woman
to enclose for your information the
original of a despatch recieved
from Mr DeVilliers the officer in
charge, together with a copy of a
letter dispatched by that gentleman
to Mr Commissioner Tyers, and to
state that from various circumstances
mentioned in said despatch, the
Committee respectfully request that
Your Honor will favor them with
an opportunity of conferring personally
with Your Honor at as early a
period as Your Honor may be
pleased to appoint.
