as to the best method of preserving
the peace of the District and act
upon his suggestions

4th Should the Crown Commissioner not
require the services of Mr. Walsh’s party
any longer you will relieve him and
he will proceed to Head Quarters
with his division forthwith

5th You will not go after Natives unless
with the warrant of the Crown Com.
or any other Magistrate

You will make monthly returns
of the state of your division, and
forward them to Head Quarters as
often as circumstance will permit.

6th Any repairs required at the Police
Station you will consult with
the Commissioner and if considered
