I beg to acknowledge the
receipt of Your Honor’s letter of the
7th Instant, enclosing a further
report from Mr Crown Commissioner
Tyers, in which he details the
proceedings of the party sent to
accompany the Chief Bungeleene,
to the Mountains, in search of
the White Woman supposed to be
detained by the Blacks in Gipps
Land; and, with reference to the
concluding part of your communication,
I am desired by His Excellency the
