Sir,
Since my last commu-
nication No 107/46 of 21st Novr. relative
to the white woman supposed
to be detained by the wild
Blacks of this District - I have
the honor to inform you thall
pacific measures appear to have
failed (two Natives of the friendly
tribe having returned from their
mission with broken heads)
Bunyeleenè being determined,
according to the account given to me
by the Warragals yesterday, not to
give her up without fighting
Bunyeleenè is said to have
proceeded to the Snowy River, whitten
Messrs. Walsh & Dana, with a party
of Native Police, have followed him
Mr De Villiers and his party
are also said by the Warragals
to be on his track; - we may
therefore shortly expect to hear
that
