We the undersigned Residents and
Stockholders in the District of Gipps Land
feeling the great inconvenience and
loss arising from the absence of the
Native Police from this District -
respectfully beg leave to draw your
Honors attention to the fact that our
Herds are daily exposed to the aggressions
of the wild blacks which are most
frequent at this Season of the year.
We also beg to state that they have
already committed serious depredations
upon the flocks of Messrs Loughnan
Taylor and McLeod at the Mitchell
