It is hardly necessary to draw
His Excellency’s attention to the fact
that, in the present times, the eight
European Troopers, I propose attaching
to the corps under my command,
are likely to prove more serviceable than
Natives, the more especially as the Colony
is now quite free from outrages, committed
by the Blacks.
