for His Excellencys consideration - in
consequence of the high rates charged for
the rations - viz
Rations to men 2/6 each
[ditto] to horses 7/6 each

A memo/. by the commandant will
be found written upon the Account
explanatory of the circumstances under which
the supplies were procured.

No Contract has been entered into
for supplies at Kilmore, but the Contractor
for Melbourne (Skene Craig) furnished those
required for the period from 16th July to
31st July 52 at the following rates
Provisions 1/. per ration
Forage 4/8 [ditto]
Carriage 20/. per Cwt
