24th. August 1832 [sic] -
The Commandant of Native Police
recommending the increase to the
Kilmore Patrol of 1 Corporal & 1 Trooper
Native Police Office
August 21st. 1852
Sir/
I have the honour to request that you
will be pleased to bring under the notice of His
Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, that I
consider it would be advisable to strengthen the
Patrol stationed in the Kilmore districts by
the addition of one Corporal and three Troopers
and that Mr. John August (now a Cadet in the
Force at 6s/. pr. diem) be placed in charge of [missing piece]
party stationed at Kilmore at 10s/6d pr. diem -
Mr Jackson the Officer now in charge to
command the parties at M’c Ivor creek and
the Campaspe stations’ - I consider this arrange-
ment would very much facilitate the service
as I could then connect the river Plenty &
Seymour with the Kilmore Patrol.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obedient Servant
H E Pultney Dana
The Honl.
The Colonial Secretary
