This site consists of featured stories, digitised and transcribed documents, images and education activities.

The stories are listed on the home page of the site. The menu on each story page links to relevant documents and educational material. If you are on any other page, the menu will link back to the relevant story.

The documents are linked to the story pages and educational material. The site map lists all of the documents and story pages. This site uses a short title to describe each document. Each document also has a formal description (VPRS ... ), that should be used when citing the document.

The education activities are available from the list on the education page.

It is not necessary to look at pages in a particular order.

If you are looking for a specific topic, you can browse the story pages, the timeline or the glossary, or you can use the keyword search to bring up mentions of words or phrases.

You can change the text size of the site using your browser. For most browsers, choose a text size from the View --> Text Size menu.
