Provenance Number 9

Issue Number 8 of Provenance will be published online in September 2010.

The deadline for this issue will be 31 March 2010.

The journal welcomes submissions within the disciplines of history and cultural heritage, and from any discipline interested in the use of historical and cultural documents. The journal will publish work that is primarily based on research from PROV holdings.

The journal has two main sections. The Articles section will be composed of scholarly articles that have undergone a rigorous peer-review process and are eligible for DEST points. The Forum section will be open to a wide range of submissions (such as case studies, personal histories, research notes) that will be reviewed by the Editorial Board. Contributions that are selected for publication in either section will be edited to fit the format and style of the journal.

When submitting contributions, authors must state the section for which their submission is intended: Article or Forum. For further information, contact the Editor of Provenance prior to submitting a contribution (see contact details below under Submissions).

Production Schedule
Please note the following important annual deadlines in the production process:

  • By early June - articles refereed and comments returned to authors
  • By end of July - articles accepted with revisions, re-submitted by authors
