Using this record
This volume contains correspondence relating to the establishment of thirteen
Victorian schools:
Bacchus Marsh, Benalla, Barwon, Bates Ford, Colac, Grange (Hamilton),
Kilmore, Pascoevale,
Wangaratta, Waringall (Heidelberg), Wannon River, Warrnambool and Yuroke.
The volume contains sections for each school. These sections are arranged
alphabetically by
school name. An index is provided in the 'A' section of the index pages.
The index gives the first
page of correspondence for each school. Within each school section, correspondence
is
arranged in chronological order.
Inward correspondence to the Board of National Education, NSW was from
community
members who had established a group of local patrons and from the teachers
of schools.
Outward correspondence consisted of replies from the Board in Sydney.
