Information for Vendors

VERS Compliance Testing

Vendors will be required to supply the following resources during the VERS compliance testing:

·          A Programmer (a person who is able to make any necessary minor code changes identified during the testing)

·          A Project Manager (a person with the authority to make decisions regarding compliance issues identified during the testing)

·          Testing environment (for example, laptop computer and software to demonstrate the product’s compliance with the VERS Standard).

Vendors may choose to be tested at the following locations:

·          Public Record Office Victoria, 99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

·          Vendor’s Melbourne Office

o         Vendor will be required to provide lunch

·          Vendor’s Interstate/Overseas Office

o         Vendor will be required to pay for the following:

§          Travel

§          Accommodation

§          Meals

Vendors should allow for sufficient time for the testing to take place:

·          For Specification One allow 1 day

·          For Specification Two allow 1 day

·          For Specification Thee to Five time periods will vary depending on the circumstances.

Vendors will be required to make any necessary corrections to the Statement of Compliance (for Specifications 1 & 2) or Checklist (for Specifications 3, 4 & 5), have the documentation signed and dated by the Chief Executive Officer, and return it to the Compliance Team at PROV (see Contact Details below).

Vendors should allow at least one month from submission of the application for VERS Compliance Certification for the testing to take place in order to provide enough time to make the necessary arrangements.  Contact the Compliance Team for more information, or to discuss special circumstances.

Compliance testing occurs every fortnight.  Only one product may be tested during any single testing period.  For the next Compliance Testing date, please contact the Compliance Team at PROV.  Vendors should note that testing dates are assigned on a first come first serve basis.
