The assigned values, the criteria for using them, and the protections they should be given, are detailed in the Commonwealth Government's Protective Security Manual (PSM). This has been adopted by the Victorian Government.
Do not use element M42 RELATION to relate a single item of a particular security classification with a folder of a lower classification level - e.g. it shall not be possible to use subelement M44 Relation Type, Assigned Value 'Contains/Contained In' to associate a highly protected item with a confidential or unclassified folder.
The value of this subelement may change over time. When it does so, this event can be documented in the management history (see M66 MANAGEMENT HISTORY). |
