M28 RELEASABILITY INDICATOR (DEPRECATED)

Definition A self-evident abbreviation applied to certain records to indicate their releasability status, such as whether they may be released to another country.
Purpose This element restricts the dissemination of the records to certain nationalities and provides a further level of protection against the compromise of national security interests.
