Supporting eGovernment Many Governments around the world are undertaking initiatives to use technology in support of greater efficiencies, process automation and better communication via eGovernment. The systems and interfaces that are employed as part of the initiatives of eGovernment mean that more records are being created than ever before, and more of these important records are now electronic. It is impossible to implement eGovernment, while meeting the legislative and policy requirements of Government, without a standard mechanism for capturing and managing the increasing number of electronic records that are created as a result.
